Bethin woke with a gasp, his hand rapped around the amulet his mother gave him. He let go and looked about himself at the room he was in. It was in a small wooden hut with a wood stove in the corner, pots of herbs lined the walls and fur blankets were spread on the floor. Suddenly it hit him as he stared at the injured men laying there, this was a medical ward. A young girl tending to the men looked up and smiled at him
“Ah you’re up good” She took a cloak from a hook on the wall and handed it to him
“Lord Newbion wants to see you. He’s out on patrol right now so go and find him” Her voice had a stern tone for one so young and Bethin was quick to obey. He pulled the cloak over his otherwise shirtless chest and left through the door. It had snowed last night and the cloak came in handy, Bethin looked around at the little hunter’s village and breathed in the crisp cool air
“Now.” he thought “To find this Newbion.”

Finding Newbion was easier the Bethin thought for he had only gone a little ways when the man he had seen it the woods came up to him flanked by two guards. Bethin knew immediately that this was Newbion but when he held out his hand in greeting Newbion slapped it away and fixed Bethin with a stern look.
“Judging by your slightly tanned skin you have to be a Solarian .What were you doing in the Koroko forest?” Bethin sighed, he should have known but still he put on a simple smile
“I am sorry, I know that forest was of limits to Solarians and I apologize. My name is Bethin and I’m on a mission, Perhaps…” He nodded to the guards “...If we were somewhere more private I could tell you about it” Newbion nodded and waved his guards away before leading Bethin to a larger one of the huts. Only after they were seated and served tea by a servant did Newbion turn to Bethin.
“Now tell me.” Bethin smiled “very well.”

“I have been sent by my mother Queen Thealin to find…”he hesitated “…The Elementals.” Newbion nearly choked on his tea
“W...What! Are you crazy?” Bethin smiled
“Maybe but I have to my people are counting on me besides it’s not that crazy.” Newbion sighed then suddenly he straitened up as If a great thought had come to him and looked at Bethin with twinkling eyes
“Bethin…” And Bethin looked at him
“What?”
“I can’t make you change you mind?”
“No.”
“Positive?”
“Yes.”
“Very well. You see there is a young man living around here, he came here oh 10...20 years ago. He has strange powers and we have long suspected that he was a Elemental but we didn’t say any thing cause we couldn’t be sure.” The prince thought a moment the asked
“Where can I find him?”

Thealin was walking through the castle gardens in the moon light trying to forget about Bethin and the dangers he would face
“Oh Bethin if only I could have told you….”
“Told him what?” Thealin jumped
“Who are you?”
“You should know my dear.” And Thealin’s eyes narrowed as she looked around through the darkness
“Rezac, how dare you come here!” There was a pause and then an evil chuckle
“Threats? My my how unlike you Thea.” And then Rezac stepped out from the shadow of a tree. Thealin took a step back and stared at Rezac and Rezac smiled at her
“Is it just me or do you seem scared.” He stepped forward and she looked away from him
“No it’s just…”
“Just what?” Her husband glared
“I’ve come to take you away with me, Thea.”
“What!” Her face went white.
“Ill make it simple, I count to 3, you give me your hand and we leave.”
“Rezac…please...”
“One…”
“Rezac…”
“…Two…”
“Please Rezac…”
“..Three.” Thealin turned to run but Rezac lunged and grabbed her around the waste and with a bang they disappeared.

The snow was deep and more kept falling, even though it was hard going Bethin never gave up and within 4 hours he had climbed up almost the entire Mountain when he came to his destination. The Shinigo Temple was as old as time it’s self and was built into the side of the mountain, Bethin shivered in the wind that howled and gave the temple a spooky presents. He hesitated before entering but enter he did and as he walked in, rocks from the mountain fell and blocked the entrance. It was dark but not to dark for there were holes in the stone that let in streams of light.
“Hello is any one there?” He called into the shadows but there was no answer so he started down the hall. For the first 3 bottom levels there was nothing but empty rooms but when he went back up, he found a stair case he hadn’t seen before. The steps were old and well worn with chunks missing here and there.
“Well…this is the only way to go now and it’s not like I can get out of here any ways” He took a deep breath and made his way up. At the top there was nothing but a circular room with a large window that let in enough light to almost fill the room. Bethin went to the window and looked out at the land around him, the sun was shining making the snow gleam like diamond and the river shined like it was part of the sun its self.
“What do you want?” Bethin turned around and saw a man sitting with his back to the wall and his eyes closed
“I asked you a question.” His voice was calm and quiet but it had a stern tone to it, and Bethin was quick to respond
“Um…I’m looking for some one called Lazear.” The man got up and walked passed Bethin to the window; his long hair nearly swept the floor. He looked out the window before turning back to Bethin
“Then you have found him.” Then he opened his eyes.

Bethin stared at them
“Y…your eyes…”And the yellow eye and blue eye looked at him with curiosity.
“What about them…say your arm…”At first Bethin was confused but then he looked down at his arm in the sling that he had forgotten about. Lazear spoke again
“What did you do to it?’
“Oh…um…I got shot with an arrow…”
“Liar I know it was done by magic.”
“What…how…”
“First let me help you.” He smiled then closed his eyes and spread his hands in front of him.
“Nam tath elah.” He whispered and suddenly water streamed from his fingertips and snaked its way across the ground towards Bethin. An inch from his foot they shot into the air like missiles and twirled around him. They suddenly shot straight into Bethin’s arm and he felt the water as it flowed through him. The sling fell to the floor and all the pain Bethin had been feeling disappeared, he fell to the ground eyes filled with shock. He looked up at Lazear and gasped
“The water Elemental…” And Lazear smiled nervously
“Correct.”
